I am sorry to say that this was one of the worst tours that could of been perfect. Unfortunately there was a young couple on the bus that had a 14 month old baby with them. From the minute we got on everyone knew we were in trouble. The child wined, cried or sang the entire time.. Couldn’t hear a word the guide said. There should be a mimimum age for children!
We got lucky and had a great experience! Because I read the reviews I knew what to expect. The pick up service was on time and there was a guide who met us near the Parliament. We had time to take photos outside the Parliament before we were taken in to do the tour of the Parliament. Our guide there was wonderful and gave a lot of information and was funny at times. The guide on our Sightseeing Tour was also good but it was kind of hard to listen to the annotation because if the the switching from English and what I assume was Hungarian language. Anyways, it was still a great experience. But like I said, I read the reviews so I knew what to expect. There were a few people in our group who were kind of irritated with the set up and were complaining. Overall, it was a good experience for me and my friends.
First, they were 15 minutes late in starting. We switched guides every segment which made for a strained experience. Hard to rate the guides, because we had a different one every half hour it seemed.
We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the travel office at the Inter Continental. We then boarded a bus to Parliament. We had a guided tour including the crown jewels. Following parliament we had a bus tour around the City, a photo opportunity at Heroes Square, then went by bus to the Castle district where we had a walk around. Bus took us back to the Inter Continental. The guides were very good, and we left the tour having had a very good overview of Budapest
What I remember most is that what we got was not what we signed up for. We signed up for English-language tour, but what we got was a tour with both English and Spanish speaking guests. I think the local provider decided to join two tours together because there were relatively small number of guests in each tour. As a result all the narrations were given in two languages. We always had to wait until the narration in the other language is finished. A lot of time was wasted, and some narrations were curtailed due to time limit.
Great tour to see the sights. Both guides did a great job.
Thoroughly enjoyed both Parliament and City Tour.
We were really pleased with this tour. First we had an informative tour through the House of Parliament. Fascinating building. The official guide was open to all questions and gave an interesting presentation. This was followed by a City Tour which was a great overview of all the highlights of Budapest which is exactly what we were seeking.
very nice
