Day 1: Arrival to Mendoza and City Tour
Transfer from the airport to the Hotel. Mendoza, is small for a provincial capital with 125,000 inhabitants. Located in the foothills of the Andes mountains means nearby rafting, camping, and sightseeing. It is a wine center for Argentina. The downtown area is largely pedestrianized. The outdoor cafés and tree-lined avenues attest to the city's European heritage. Mendoza is a perfect example of a successful combination of Spanish, Italian and indigenous cultures. The journey begins where Don Pedro del Castillo founded the city (1561)."Museo del área fundacional" and the Jesuit ruins, vestiges of the city after the earthquake of 1861. Continuing the tour to the main square, which is surrounded by the Cathedral (Basilica of St. Francis), the former Banco Hipotecario (now Ministry of Culture and Tourism), the Andean Trade and former Bank of Mendoza (now Contemporary space of art ), The Independencia and Spain squares, Civic district with Government House and Enoteca.
Day 2: Wine Capital of the World (B)
A whole day at Mendoza wineries to enjoy the most delightful wines of the 8th Wine Capital of the World. This tour will be taking you to the wineries "boutique" style and also to the most modern and sophisticated ones. We will visit three different wineries, two of them still using the traditional method, while the other one is one of the most modern in the region. You'll come back to the hostel with the sensation of enjoyment and pleasure in all senses.
Day 3: Tour to Los Andes (B)
The tour offers a variety of colors and reliefs. Early in the morning along the Mendoza river, get a view of the majestic mountain range Cordon del Plata and the Potrerillos dam, colossal work for hydraulic power generation and water distribution for irrigation. Your next visit will be Uspallata, pre-Hispanic settlement of aboriginal Huarpes and the southern last point of the Inca Empire, as far as the Inca Trail from Peru. After visiting the villages of Picheuta, polvareda, Punta de Vacas and Los Penitentes ski resort. Free time for the use of chair lift that allows us to enjoy beautiful panoramic views. Later, we will find along our route, the Puente del Inca, architectural work with strands of natural hot springs. Continuing our direction and 2,750 meters above sea level, the viewpoint of Cerro Aconcagua, the colossus of the Americas of 6959 meters, from where they were going to the Laguna Horcones and the Aconcagua Provincial Park. Following the international route to reach our ultimate destination, the village Las Cuevas, European-style located 3200 meters above sea level.
