Itinerary
Our driver and guide meet us at the Colonia port and drive via some important historical landmarks on the way to ranch (20min) to meet the horses and gaucho. There you will enjoy an approximately 2 - 2½ hour horse ride to the beach through beautiful countryside. The experienced riders can enjoy a good canter or gallop on the endless beach; and for the lesser experienced a leisurely stroll or trot and a paddle in the water with the horse are options.

- This trip is offered for a MINIMUM OF 3 RIDERS. (Solo travelers can send me a message with date options and I will try my best to make up a pair or join to a group).
- Riders must provide: AGE, WEIGHT, HEIGHT and HORSERIDING EXPERIENCE for us to select the right horse for each rider (FOR EASIER COMMUNICATION PLEASE SEND US YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS).
- Our experienced rider and tour manager David will meet clientes directly at Colonia port arrivals gate in Uruguay.
- Most credit cards accepted for shopping, also Arg Pesos, Uruguayan Pesos and USD for shopping and tipping.
- All levels of riders are welcome but is not recommended for first time riders or fear of horses as we ride in open countryside and beach on gaucho saddles (no horn to hang on to). You need a sense of adventure, should be fairly fit and must love horses and nature.
- This is a REAL horseride and not a walk in a line!
- Please check weather forecasts before booking, we do not ride in temperatures higher than 29degC (84F) or in thunderstorms.
- PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED TO BOARD THE FERRY.
- PLEASE CONFIRM WITH US THE RIGHT FERRY TIMES BEFORE PURCHASE THE TICKETS.
- Guests must buy their FERRY tickets online or phone at BUQUEBUS or COLONIA EXPRESS, book the first morning trip 8.15AM (arriving in Colonia at 9.30AM) and return at 4.30/5PM (earliest) or 8.15/8.45PM (less rush and time for shopping), or stay over.
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
