About this activity
Visit: La Bomba de Tiempo, Calle Sarmiento 3131 Ciudad Cultural Konex, Buenos Aires C1196AAG Argentina
Every La Bomba de Tiempo's show is unique and unrepeatable because its music is generated live on stage trough the dialogue between musicians and director, who leads the improvisation using a code of more than 70 signs made with the hands. Every performance becomes a magical time when percussionists on stage interact with the audience while this one brings its energy, dancing and listening. It all creates a true ritual of rhythm and percussion.
La Bomba de Tiempo was created in 2006 by Santiago Vazquez under the idea of putting in practise for the first time his language of rhythm conduction with signs. In order to do that he invited many of the best percussionists from Buenos Aires and its surroundings.
The goal was to explote to the maximum rhythm as a resource to generate a powerful and danceable music that could represent genuinely, through improvisation, influences from its members and the multicultural identity of Buenos Aires inhabitants. Since then, La Bomba de Tiempo gathers artists and public from all around Argentina, which makes it a representative phenomenon of our culture on a local and an international level.
In 2014 Santiago Vazquez left the direction of the group which is currently conducted by each of its members in turns.
