We did have the option to return to Cairns at lunchtime but the place was so amazing we spent the whole day there. Seeing the crocs close up being fed from the boat was fantastic and hats off to the guy who at one of the talks gets into the same enclosure as the crocodile. I was scared for him. All in all a great place to visit, just don't forget to take mosquito repellant.
Great fun! : The guys that work at Hartley's are amazing and have a true love and understanding of the animals that they care for. The crocodile guy missed his calling in life. Great comedian and a fabulous entertainer. He was really funny. He had us in bouts of laughter! My 7 y.o son and I loved it! Thank you! :
Great day trip, don't miss out. The Crocodile farmer presenter is exactly what you would imagine a Crocodile farmer to be. He was passionate about his business and a real character. During this trip you have the option to feed alligators and ride through the swamp in a boat with large crocs swimming up to the boat to get fed. Aside from the theme activities, they have lots of animals to see/pet/feed on the grounds. Easy to spend a day here.
Great way to start my Cairns holiday! Our driver was awesome, she shared quite fun stories on the way to the farm and back. Not to mention this trip gives you a flexible return option! When out at the farm, I recommend trying the Crocodile taste in the restaurant, it was just 5AUD :)
