About this activity
You'll be picked up from your accommodation in Cairns at 6:15am by shuttle bus, or you can make your own way and meet at the southern end of Palm Cove for a 7am departure.
This area is the closest part of the Great Barrier Reef to the mainland. The kayak tour is suitable for all levels and kids as young as 7 years old.
The tours normally go for 3.5 hours. You'll paddle over to Double Island. This usually takes 20 - 30 minutes. Once there, it is time to explore the reef. More often than not we see lots of different marine life like Eagle rays, Shovel nose sharks, mangrove rays, all kinds of colorful fish and sea turtles
Your tour concludes in Palm Cove, or the shuittle bus will return you to your Cairns accommodation at 11am.
