My family and I went on this day tour of Cairo. If you are on a time constraint and can handle the journey, I would definitely recommend this. We went to the pyramids and Sphinx, that was great. You have the option to ride a camel if you want (additional cost). Also, be warned that you have to PAY to use the bathroom. I thought that was a bit ridiculous. Then we went to lunch. I did not like that there weren't some options given and we were charged in USD given to the guide instead of the restaurant. The price was reasonable, but it just seemed odd. Then we went to the papyrus shop, it's just a bit of an overpriced shop. Then we headed to the museum. It's the old museum and leaves a lot to be desired. While there is a "no tipping" sign by the bathrooms, the attendants make you pay to use the bathroom and to provide you toilet paper. There isn't air inside, so after a day in the sun, it took a toll on us. The guide was really amazing. He did not over-kill and gave us just the right amount of information and history. He was also very tuned in to our body language and could tell when we started to disconnect. We REALLY appreciated him. I would recommend this tour if you HAVE to see Cairo in only 1 day. But ideally, if you can spare, take 2 days to enjoy the city. Great tour and guide!
