Want to take a walk through history? You should consider visiting Egypt. Our Cairo guide, Ahmed's excitement really brought the history books to life. We toured Cairo from end to end. Great Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis, Cairo Museum, Sakkara and downtown are just some of the highlights that Cairo had to offer. We then parted for Aswan to catch the Nile Cruise, there we were greeted by another outstanding tour guide, Walid. He promptly took us to visit the dam and granite quarry to view a massive unfinished obelisk. As we cruised down the Nile River, he would give us an overview of what we were to visit on our next stop. Once we were on location, he made sure to throughly explain the history and even give us a behind the scenes tour of some of the temples. Take great walking shoes, sunglasses, hat, water and get plenty of sleep, there's plenty to see, hear and taste.
