Stop At: Giza, Giza, Giza Governorate
Drive to Giza by one of our air-conditioned coaches to visit the city of Memphis, the 1st capital of the United Kingdom of ancient Egypt. The first site we visit is the necropolis of Sakkara, that has the funerary complex of king Zoser and his step pyramid, which is considered the oldest stone building in the world. Continue visit the Mastaba of Meriruka, which has 33 chambers and corridors and the Mastaba of Kagemni. The pyramid of king Teti with its famous Pyramid's Texts is one of the major sites in Sakkara. Continue the tour to Giza pyramids, the Valley Temple of king Chephren and his mysterious Sphinx, which represents the king with a lion body and a human face. Penetrating into the interior of the great pyramid of Cheops is also allowed. En route we visit one of the papyrus galleries located in pyramids area. Drive back to hotel.
