Where to start? I booked the Luxor tour last minute, so everything was a bit of a scramble. Top Leader tours worked with me to get me tour guides and airline tickets from Cairo to Luxor. Then I decided to extend an extra day into Aswan and that was additional. I had different tour guides on both days, because of the distance between citires. Both tour guides were very smart and educated about the places I saw. I saw so many temples it was fantastic. Ali on day one was great, and Dr. Mohamed was great on Day 2. Just some things of note: The prices are for the guides, and you need to understand that they have to pay a lot of fees, tolls, taxes, gas, and the driver of the air conditioned car. All of these things are expensive in Egypt. Once you pay for them via Viator, you then pay on your own, the prices for the admission to the tombs in addition. In general, they run about $18 US on average, payable in Egyptian Pounds. The tour guides are exceptionally courteous and friendly, and tipping is appreciated. In the two days I was in Egypt, I saw the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, HatShepSut temple, Aswan Dam, Luxor Temple, Philae Temple (which was incredible), and more. They were able to translate the heiroglyphics and everything. It was just awesome and I honestly can't wait to return. We stopped for food and water at various places too, and the food was great. I really can't wait to return. Thank you Ali and Mohamed.
