I would give this cruise maybe 3 and a half stars because our guide was great and the experience was unique. I, however, felt like there was a huge communication issue and I do not know if is Viator or the tour company's fault. We did not know anything about the boat we would be booked on and we received no information from who would be our guide. We were picked up promptly after our flight from Cairo at Luxor airport...to which we went right to sightseeing and not the ship. it was over 100 degrees and I was hoping to shower and relax after flying but nope a temple it is. After about 3 hours in the hot sun we boarded our ship. Our guide told us to hold all gratuities to the end so we didn't tip our porter. We requested a twin cabin because it was my brother and I and the beds were close together. Our Cleaning guy made things out of the towels(swans, alligators etc.) and the room was clean but smelled horrid. A foul smelling room makes it seem dirty, the smell was so bad it started to seep into our clothes. There was very little communication and any information was passed through our guide and word of mouth. Upon arrival we were served a buffet lunch and dinner that night, which was surprisingly very tasty and we took that as a good omen. Both my brother and I have unique dietary issues so we appreciate buffets because at least we can fill up on one thing. The next day we had a buffet breakfast which was mainly Continental and a decent buffet lunch, wasn't as many choices as the previous one. For dinner we learned, literally upon arrival, it would be served courses. It was a French inspire prefixed menu that was horrendous and not suitable with no choice. My brother can have chicken and fish but I cannot, so the first 4 course were inedible for me (unwanted by him but eaten because of hunger) and the main inedible to him because of meat. I had nothing but some bread and a few fries that night. Most of the passengers were also perturb by this, as many did not eat much. All the days of the cruise it was 100+ degrees and for some odd reason they served lunch of the deck, again we learned of this literally walking to lunch. Even though there was a canopy covering the tables on the deck, the heat and flies made lunch unbearable. There was absolutely no WiFi or cell service on the boat. At checkout we put our gratuities in an envelope and paid our tab: a large bottle of water or a can of soda are 25 L.E. I did not find this cruise as relaxing as I would have lik
