About this activity
Your representative will collect you from your Cairo or Giza hotel at 8am and transfer you to the Giza Plateau for your private tour.
At the stables, choose between a camel or a horse for your steed for the morning: whichever you choose, your group, be it large or small, will have a dedicated groom as well as an expert tour guide to ensure you enjoy the desert to the full.
Even if you've never ridden before, these animals are well trained and make for a safe and comfortable ride as they follow their leader across the sands. Your private guide will demonstrate how to use the reins to control your steed, as well as how to mount and dismount safely.
Now, enjoy the serenity of untouched desert. On a clear day, you may well be able to see across the desert to other famous pyramids, such as the Abu Sir pyramids, the Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara, and the Bent Pyramid at Dahshur – whatever the weather, you're guaranteed spectacular views of the UNESCO-listed Giza Pyramids.
On arrival at Giza, admire the three large pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and wonder at the enigmatic Sphinx, as your guide explains a little of the history behind these ancient tombs. From here, you'll be transferred back to your hotel, arriving around noon.

We had ahmad zakaria as our tour guide for the giza day tour which included a tour of giza plateau and the sphinx as well as a 2 hour camel ride (it read as 25 mins in the description when I booked it) We paid extra to go in khufus tomb and I had inconveniently left my tickets in my camera bag so ahmad went back to the car to get it-no complains. To start with we were late for the tour because our son was not well and we cut short the camel ride too. He was knowledgeable but some info he needs to update himself. For one, the great pyramids were not build by slaves but paid workers because of workers villages which were unearthed sorrounding tombs. We had a whole air conditioned van to ourselves. Contrary to the advertisement there is no wifi in the van. Ahmad offered to tether from his mobile but we declined. I also want to add that because our son's health got worse, we postponed the Nile river cruise twice and finally cancelled it altogether and they fully refunded us the whole amount. I forgot to tip ahmad zakaria I wish I had because he was very nice to us. He was a bit pushy tho, understandly because we were late for the tour. But his hospitality more than made up for it. He also bought us bottles of water and kushery (again bottled water anf snacks are mentioned in the package but it's not kept in the van-they buy it for u when u ask for it) he picked us up from a hotel in downtown Cairo with all our luggage and dropped us off to a hotel near giza. So if your pick up and drop off destination is different it's OK
