Our guide, Jackie, was very knowledgeable and passionate about Harvard. As parents of a prospective student, she was able to answer all our questions. I recommend this tour.
Kimi was great! Very informative and lots of fascinating tidbits. She was very enthusiastic and the stories she told were pretty great. I was disappointed to not be allowed to go inside the Widener Library only students allowed and was disheartened to hear that many students neglect to go there either because it's overwhelming and doesn't have a Starbucks. It would have been good also to know ahead of time that we weren't going to fully tour the campus or see inside anywhere, just be shown specific buildings. It was a very cursory tour. That being said though, the buildings discussed were interesting to learn about and it was good to learn about the school itself beyond just about certain buildings. I was especially shocked to hear how late it was that Harvard finally 1 accepted women into the main campus to study and 2 allowed women to get the same diplomas as men. Definitely recommended! Having it done by a student who so clearly loves the school and knows a lot about history and culture of the community is great.
Delightful Harvard senior guide really made for an insightful, amusing and informative tour. Lots of fun!!! One suggestion... We did not know you got a free Hahvahd tour if you do a Duck Tour and so paid for this. Just a heads-up.
