This tour starts by picking you up at your hotel to take you to La Popa Monastery, an excellent place to appreciate the Heroic City and learn about the history of the Monastery.

Stop At: Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, Carrera 17, Cartagena 130002 Colombia
Afterward, you will be driven to Castillo de San Felipe (Entrance not included), a strong fort built on the top of a mountain by the Spaniards to gain control of the bay. There, you’ll have the opportunity to discover from the outside the impressive architecture and history behind this fort.

My guide Carlos (Charles) was friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. As we rode between sites he told about events that occurred along the route, and Milna (?) would slow down or stop as was appropriate, they worked together very well. At the sites where we stopped he was never hurried, Vern informed, and always answered any questions. Even though this was not my first visit to Cartagena, he pointed out countless things I had not noticed before. A very relaxed tour. He even offered to help me plan another excursion!

Billy was extremely friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. Most importantly, even though I'm sure he's given this tour many times, he made my wife and I feel special. I felt like I was touring Cartagena with a friend. Fantastic experience.
Guide informative of history. Unfortunately did not enter any of the old buildings , only walked past them. Did not interact with any locals.
Good informative tour
A very nice tour. I got to see many of the major tourist sites and got a good feel for the different areas/neighborhoods of Cartagena. My guide was very informative about the architecture, history and art. We saw a lot in 6 hours. A good introduction to this cool city.
Pros: Billy was very knowledgeable and took pictures for us; Cons: he came for us 30 min earlier than agreed upon time and told us to hurry because the car was waiting; he and taxi driver argued loudly for over 20 min making our family very uncomfortable; the 6 hour tour had no built-in break for lunch
Great introduction to all of the sights in Cartagena. Our guide Billy, senior tourist guide in Cartagena everybody in the city knew this guy, did a great job. No questions went unanswered. Highly recommend starting your stay with this tour.
