About this activity
Your day trip to the laid-back, family-oriented beach retreat in the Rosario Islands offers the Caribbean ideal of platinum sands and crystalline waters. After pickup in Cartagena, take a shared speedboat to Isla Grande, the largest of the islands that form Rosario Islands National Park.
The trip includes a welcome drink and a traditional buffet lunch of fresh fish, coconut rice, fried plantains, and a soft drink. You may also use the beach resort's facilities, kayaks, and other non-motorized water toys, as well as towels and access to the hotel's bathrooms and shower facilities. Snorkeling is also available (rental equipment at your own expense, or bring your own).
Soak up some sunshine and swim in the tranquil waters until it's time to head back to Cartagena. The water can be pretty choppy on the way back to the mainland, so bring a plastic bag to keep your belongings dry.

Rosiario Island is a gloriously easygoing resort. For a day trip or more, only a short boat ride from the mainland, the clear warm waters will wash away your tensions and cares and your aches and pains under azure skys and dreamlike vistas. Take a nice long novel, find a comrotable lounge chair and turn off your cell phone!
Island was beautiful. Food was quite good but be sure to get in line first as seating became unavailable and they were slow to clear tables for the last 20 guests.they wont take cash for drinks at the beach bar so you have to settle up afterwards and there were lines and delays at the cashier. The boat taking us over was new very comfortable and we really enjoyed it. Weather in January was perfect 85 and water was nice. Wear water shoes as rough on the feet in the water.they have some vendors with quality necklaces and earrings so bring extra cash
Great tour and food.
This day trip was awesome. We had a good boat trip over and the beaches were beautiful! Lunch was amazing. Plenty of lounge chairs to relax and very nice staff. The facilities are very well maintained. One thing to note, once you get off the boat on the way home, you are on your own. There is no ride back to your hotel.
I do recommend this trip because of the friendly service, fun stops, great lunch, and the importance of having a scheduled optoin to the islands, however....the communication process was frustrating for all groups on our tour days were confused addresses and pick ups not validated. Also, during the sales process they were trying to get you to go on a different day and wouldn't guarentee that your trip would actually happen in the case they didn't have enough people.
I wrote a lengthy review in response to an email from Viator, but to summarize, this tour is not worth the cost.
possibly the best part of my trip! Beautiful place, great lunch.
