Wine and Food tasting walking tour

We always try to do a tour on our first day in a city. This one was perfect! Nasos met us at our apartment with a snack! Good thing we had not eaten breakfast because it was non stop sites and delicious foods the entire tour. We love getting to know our guides on a personal level when possible and since this tour ended up just being my husband, me and Nasos we felt like we made a new friend in Chania! We highly recommend this tour. Nasos recommended a restaurant and even made the reservation for us

We have been on other food tours but none compare to this! Nassos and his wife were incredible hosts! We covered a lot of ground in the charming Old Town of Chania and sampled a variety of Cretan cuisine and wine. Plenty of food and it was all soooo good and complimented with an abundance of interesting information on how food and wine have become such an important part of Cretan history and culture. i really enjoyed my group tour with Nasos. There were 6 of us and the group gelled together well. We had some really good local food and Nasos was an excellent host, he really made everyone feel welcome and showed the best of Cretan hospitality! I would heartily recommend this tour, it wasn't too rushed, we had chance to buy things and look around and ended the tour all very happy! The wine tasting was excellent, really informative, we had a teenager take part too (no drinking!) but given the many other facets to wine tasting it worked well. Whether travelling solo, family or couple i think it's a good one.

We visited Chania on a cruise ship but wanted to try something other than the excursions offered by the ship. We were so glad we did. Our guide, Nasos, was so accommodating. We needed to shorten the time of the tour at the last minute and he managed to adjust and still provide a very complete experience. In addition to taking us to very carefully selected vendors for tastings, he shared his family's history and the challenges of living in Greece today. He limits the number of people on his tours so that they can feel like family. He will only take 4 people by himself. If there are 6 people, his wife will join him. As a result we learned so much in such a conversational and organic way. The food and beverage tastings were excellent quality and generous portions. We were completely full by the middle of the tour and yet we ate more! We did 7 tours while on the ship and this one was unique and one of the best.
