2-Hour Historical Walking Tour of Charleston

Excellent guide (jenny) who knew so much, in detail, about the history of the city. perfect for first time visitors.

It was very interesting and absolutely worthwhile! The guide was passionate and knowledgeable. However the meeting point on the reservation was not the one that we should have been so when we realized we are the only one there , we had to call and run to the actual point.

Great experience. Much better than a bus tour as you get to stand in front of building and see what is being described.

Enjoyed an early morning, 2 hour walking tour with "Barry." He was knowledgeable of the history, culture and architecture of Charleson. The tour was a comfortable walk, just wear good shoes or sandals and hyrdrate. Also, in the summer go first thing in the morning as the tour will be a little cooler. We opted to do the tour our first morning in the city. As such, it gave us a nice overview of the history of the city while educating us to arrange follow up tours per sites we were more interested in.

The tour included my family of 4 and 3 additional tourists. The tour guide was friendly and had a wealth of knowledge about the area. The city was beautiful and we enjoyed the historical information. The tour guide provided facts and rarely gave his own opinions as noted by other reviews. He told 2 stories at the end of the tour which were fun. I have never gone wrong when using Viator.

Jini was very interesting and informative! Our group enjoyed approximately 2.5 hours of walking through historical parks, landmarks, and buildings. She had great recommendations for what to do in Charleston. Not too much walking at all. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide was full of historical facts and a few side stories. It was a rainy day but we still thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Her lunch suggestion of Poogans Porch was great!

Really, really enjoyed the nice insider and up and close history that this tour provided. The shop owner was very pleasant and friendly with loads of great information about the area. The small town feel of Charleston and the incredibly rich history both past and present was brought to life by our guide. Highly recommend as a 101 on this town and continue your exploration on your own!
