Charlotte was founded in 1768 and has witnessed the country's birth and growth. With that growth has come much turmoil and led to many ghostly encounters. There is much to learn about the area that was founded on an ancient Indian trading path and is home to landmarks both haunted and historic.

Meeting close to the heart of Uptown, you will begin your 1.5 hour tour and step further and further back into time throughout the stops. Strolling through Charlotte's Fourth Ward district, you'll visit some of the area's most notable and haunting sites.

Tours feature visits to various ghostly and historic spots, like the path to Charlotte, tunnels of grave fortune, theatrical ghosts and some of Uptown's magnificently spooky houses. You'll learn about significant people and battles, see where both the drinking of spirits and ghostly spirits intersect, and walk past ghoulish medical institutions. Visit haunting locations where people currently lay to rest, and haunting locations where people were permanently laid to rest. This tour is sure to educate and spook all who walk.

Lots of fun and very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and obviously cares about his town a great deal. First time in your city and learned a great many things by taking this tour. Would highly recommend it. The only thing that needs to be done is to make the meeting place a little clearer.

Our guide was a bit over the top for enthusiasm, but I'm sure many people would appreciate that more than I did. I did feel the tour promotion itself was a bit misleading. Do be prepared to walk as there was only one opportunity to rest. Our guide had the voice and physical stamina of a real pro!

This was an AWESOME tour. Our tour guide Ardy I hope I didn't misspell the name, was absolutely fabulous. We visited really cool locations, and the ghost stories were great, also a lot of history went along with the ghost stories. The tour concluded at a cemetery. Ardy encouraged us to snap as many pictures as we want to, never know what you may see when looking at them later, see the one I posted from 4-28-17, I promise, it's not tampered with. Maybe it's just a person walking by while I shot the photo, but maybe not. We had a really great time! Thanks Ardy!!!

The stories were good, and I understand the need to add a little drama to make it exciting, but I did not enjoy the re-telling of the story from different angles just to fill up time. I would have enjoyed it more had we spent less time hearing the same story and more time walking around looking at the old buildings.

Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. I was concerned about how far I could walk, but there are breaks to sit and listen and rest up a bit.
