About this activity
Day 1: Chengdu – Yingxiu – Wolong – Balang Mountain – Rilong (Drive 246km)
After breakfast at the hotel,you will drive through the places: Dujiangyan, the oldest and only surviving no-dam irrigation system in the world. Then the 2008 earthquake memorial site in Ying Xiu town, where you will feel horrified by the destruction and devastation; stand in silence and say a little prayer for those who perished.After lunch in Wolong which used to be the Giant Panda Breeding Base, you will cross the Mount Balang (at: 4,532m) and enjoy the magnificent mountain landscape along the way; you will be able to see the panorama of Four Girls Mountain if the weather is great.At about 17:30, you will arrive in Rilong town where the Four Girls Mountain is located.

Total Driving Distance: Chengdu – 57km – Dujiangyan – 30km – Yingxiu – 65km – Wolong – 94km – Rilong

Day 2: Hiking up to Base Camp (Hike 7-8 hours, 16KM, 1000M ascending) (L, D)
Hiking from the town to Base Camp through Haizi Valley. The valley is famous for this lakes and Alpine meadow. Today you will hike through Haizi Valley to the base camp via Guozhuangping, Dajianbao and Jipengzi for 16km about 6-7 hours. From Base Camp, you can clearly view the climbing route heading up to the peak.
Accommodation: Camping at Base Camp
Total Walking Distance: Haizi Valley – 16km – Base Camp
Altitude: Rilong (3,200m), Base Camp (4,400m)
Day 3: Climbing up to Peak, then back to town (Hike 6 hours, 8KM, 835M ascending) (B, L)
Get up in early morning,climbing up to the peak with the assistance by tour guide and support team. Normally it takes about 3 hours to reach the peak. After taking pictures on the top of the mountain, you slowly walk down to the Base Camp with about 1.5 to 2 hours, and then back to hotel in town.
Accommodation: Overnight in Rilong Local Hotel
Total Walking Distance: Base Camp – 4km – Dafeng Summit / Erfeng Summit – 4km – Base Camp
Altitude: Base Camp (4,400m), Dafeng Summit (5,025m)
Day 4: Rilong back to Chengdu (Drive 246km)
Leave the town at about 9:00am, driving back to Chengdu and arriving in Chengdu at about 13:00. Trip end.

- 1. Public equipment for the Team: Camping tent, mat, camping cooking equipment, food shared by the team, emergency medicine, etc.
- 2. Personal equipment that prepared by yourself:
- Outdoor equipment: sleeping bag (-15 degrees), backpack (60 liters or so, with rain cover, the best weight is not more than 20kg), climbing sticks, hiking shoes, jackets (waterproof clothing), warm clothing, hiking snow gaiters, cotton socks, snow goggles (general sunglasses can be), headlights (torch) and spare batteries, insulation cup, personal daily necessities, personal special supplies, garbage bags and so on.
- Personal food: Due to long journey in the plateau area, please bring high-calorie food to add strength and energy, such as chocolate, beef jerky, compressed biscuits, vitamins and so on.
- 3. This is a trekking tour in high altitude area. Please make proper assessment on your physical condition to decide whether to participate.
- 4. In high altitude places, the climate is quite changeable and the temperature difference between day and night is great, even if there is snow in summer time. Please pay attention to carry warm clothing and choose the sleeping bag with -15 ℃ temperature standard.
- 5. The UV is strong in plateau area. Please prepare sunscreen supplies.
- 6. There is almost no Mobile phone signal in most areas during this trekking tour.
- 7. There are numerous beautiful photographic attractions during this tour. Please bring enough memory card and battery for your camera.
