5 Days Songpan Sacred Mount Huashiyan Horseback Riding

Itinerary

Day 1: Chengdu-Songpan

Stop At: Songpan horse trek, outside the South Gate, Songpan County 623300 China
In the morning, you will be picked up by your guide with private vehicle to Songpan. On the way, you will enjoy the scenic road trip to see the turquoise lake in Zipingpu Reservoir and the big gorges along the road, and Diexi Lake, the vehicle will not stop in these scenic stop but you can sightseeing from the window. Upon arrival in Songpan, you will be welcomed by our local staff and be transferred to your guesthouse in Gaotun village. After having dinner, you may make some preparation for next day trekking tour. It is suggested to get to sleep early and have a good sleep

Day 2: Songpan - Lianhuachi (Lotus Pond) Campsite

Stop At: Songpan horse trek, outside the South Gate, Songpan County 623300 China
After breakfast, you will ride a horse to Lianhuachi Campsite in relation to the back yard of the sacred mount Huashiyan. During your journey, you will get through the forest, crossing the clear steams. You will fully enjoy the unpolluted natural beauty at the destination

Day 3: Lianhuachi Lake - Mt.Huashiyan Campsite

Stop At: Songpan horse trek, outside the South Gate, Songpan County 623300 China
This day, you will visit Lianhuachi Lake. After visiting the lake, you will get back to the guesthouse and prepare for your horseback riding to cross through the main forest. You will ride a horse through the primary forest and reach to the front of Huashiyan Mountain. You will look at the Holy Mountain from a distance, in order to feel the respect of the local Tibetans to the Holy Mountain. You will dress up the traditional Tibetan cloth to do the Kora with the local praying for peace and healthy for you and your family. And then, you can enjoy the Rhododendron forest with wild flowers dotted with the grassland. You shall see the holy mountain – Mt. Xuebaoding.

At night, you will camp at the Huashiyan Campsite

Day 4: return to Songpan

Stop At: Songpan horse trek, outside the South Gate, Songpan County 623300 China
you can get up early to see the sea of clouds if the weather permits. You will feel the energy and power of morning, when everything is growing. Since the road down to the foot of the mountain is steep, it is suggested to trek down the mountain instead of riding a horse. After you hiking down to the foot of Mount Huashiyan, you will be picked up to your guesthouse in Gaotun village. You can have a good sleep tonight

Day 5: Songpan-Chengdu
