My girlfriend and I went on this hike/bike and chose the beginner trail. I'm 5'9" and athletic, though not an avid hiker and have never mountain biked. She's 5'6" and athletic, though not an avid hiker and never mountain biked has road biked. The hike was great - some challenging stretches, but easier than expected based on the prior reviews. Beginning-to-intermediate seems appropriate. The bike was definitely a challenge. We were assured beforehand that beginners can do it, and I personally made it down the hill with some focus and cautious driving. My girlfriend made it 2/3 of the way before having an accident and ended up with a broken wrist. The guide was excellent and helpful and arranged a truck to take her to the bottom of the mountain, and eventually to a local hospital note that the insurance coverage only applies for a bill more than 200 USD but we were surprised to have our bill at only 80. All things considered, it was a great trip physical, great scenery, good guides. A beginner CAN do the bike - drive cautiously and don't have to much pride to stumble off and walk a bit at the slipperier spots that they do stop and caution you against. But be prepared for a challenge. I can't speak for an intermediate or expert, but it probably is easy for them. Despite our accident, I would recommend. It's Mountain Biking, so it comes with some inherent risk. Be safe and enjoy.
Intense hike and bike. Recommend it to those who are physically able to hike up hill long term.
