Full-Day Chiang Dao Kayaking, Caving, and Jungle Tour from Chiang Mai

Itinerary

Your day starts with being collected from your hotel at 8:30 am with a stop at the shop to get us ready for the day. We usually include here a brief lesson in river kayaking theory .

After a moderately long drive we arrive in the Chiang Dao valley. Immediately we notice the fin like shape of the Chiang Dao mountain as it cuts through the blue sky, It is here were we find the Chiang Dao Cave system , It is our first part of the trip. For about an hour we find our self marveling at the large caverns of the system. With flocks of bats hanging from the ceilings, our local guide points out all the shape similarities of formations mirroring the Thai animal world. With the extra bright flashlights we get the full picture as it illuminates this mysterious world below.

After a hearty meal we start our kayaking leg of our trip. In contrast to earlier we are now rewarded with a rich green color spectrum with brilliant blue king fishers as we paddle through peaceful jungle scape. The mild currents but still challenging carry us to our take out location with amazing views of the mountain as a final reward.
