Stop At: Mae Ping River, Chiang Mai Thailand
We proceed straight from your hotel in downtown Chiang Mai to the Chaimongkol Docking Area of an exhilarating 45-minutes cruise over the Mae Ping River. Softly navigating the river, you will see traditional wooden houses interspersed with modern residences, colorful scenery and witness the lifestyle of the local people. The cruise ends with a visit to a local farmhouse with its own herbs, vegetables and fruit gardens. On the farm you observe yourself how the cultivation of jasmine rice and a variety of herbs for use both in medicine and cookery are tended to in traditional fashion.
A selection of seasonal fresh fruit is there to be tried out in combination with the taste of lemon-grass and other herb juices. You should not leave Chiang Mai without tasting the local dish, Khao Soy, a smooth, spicy, noodle in curry soup. Return transfer from the farm to your hotel is included.

Friendly informative staf relaxing with lovely food well priced boat skipper was very kind and very knowledgeable great day thanks
We went on the Mae Ping River Cruise with Lunch at the farm house. They picked us up from a hotel near us. The driver on the way there wan? was a very nice lady and gave a good explanation of what to expect. They were all extremely friendly and fun. Our tour guide Rabbit กระตาย was a very silly guy. He explained a bit about what we were seeing on the river which was nice. He interjected silly comments and animal noises from time to time which made it fun. The river part was interesting seeing whats along the river - nothing stunning or beautiful, but very peaceful. When we got to the farm house they gave a little tour of the items growing there. It was not particularly interesting, but if you are into herbs and fruits may be interesting. We then had a very nice lunch with plenty of fresh fruits. They even offered more fruit if you wanted, but we were quite full after eating the lunch and fruit provided. We both enjoyed the trip and for 15 US each for 2 hours with lunch we though it was a very good deal. I would highly recommend it, but make sure you only expect a pleasant time and nothing spectacular.
Very interesting, we had good descriptions from the guide.
