This private day tour starts at around 9am. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from the lobby of your downtown Chongqing hotel and transfer you to People’s Auditorium (People's Assembly Hall), which was built to accommodate domestic and foreign guests under the leadership of Marshal He Long in 1951. The Auditorium has ab architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties that looks like the Temple of Heaven in Beijing at the first glance. Then,continue to explore Chongqing’s first private garden,Eling Park, a popular vista and the highest spot for spectacular views of both Jialing River and the Yangtze River passing through the city.
You will have the opportunity to sample local food for lunch which is left for your own arrangement. Your guide will gladly offer you ideas and suggestions according to your preferences. In the afternoon, visit the ancient village of Ci Qi Kou (Porcelain Village) situated on the bank of the Jia Ling River. The history of Ci Qi Kou can be traced back to more than 1,700 years ago when it was famous for porcelain production during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Follow your tour guide to stroll around the village, explore the lanes and alleys with tea bars, artists' studios, and embroidery workshops which are the three notable attractions of the village. After wandering around the Hongyadong Block with sculptures in traditional Bayu architectural style and many outlets of local souvenirs, your guide will escort you back to your hotel to conclude this tour.
