Calata, Unspoiled Natural Beauty

Just outside of Cluj, 

mostly unknown to mass tourism and fancy travel guides, one can find the 

fantastic, cultural region of Calata or Kalotaszeg.

Join us for a journey in a land with 

unspoiled natural beauty, 

traditional architecture, 

hard-working and

 welcoming people, as we will visit two of the most beautiful villages in the area: 

Izvoru Crisului and

 Vistea. We will visit some very old and charming 

medieval churches that are still the meeting point of the local believers, who consider faith a major element of daily life. We will visit some 

local craftsmen, well known throughout the country and abroad for the fine and unique work they do.

Also, after a 

delicious traditional lunch we will get the chance of learning some of the 

local dances, an experience that will make this day special. 

In the evening we will return to Cluj.
