Tipu's Fort / Palakkad Fort is the old granite fort situated in the very heart of Palakkad town is one the best preserved in Kerala. It was built by hider Ali of Mysore in 1766. The fort was taken over and modified by the British in 1790. It is now preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India.

Malampuzha Dam & Gardens are situated on the lower hills of the western ghats, there are pathways to watch and enjoy variety of fountains and marvelous sculptures, and there is a canal flowing through the middle of the garden, which has 2 hanging bridges above it. The ropeway moves across the garden giving an unforgettable aerial view of the garden. Boating Facility is available in the Garden.
