Sheltered by a lagoon, the calm waters in the mouth of the Bentota River make it an ideal year-round destination for water sports. Activities such as jet skiing, water skiing, banana boat rides, windsurfing and kitesurfing can be included for adults and children alike. Guests also have the option of going on a scenic boat ride which takes you to mangrove habitats which are abundant in birdlife. Angling enthusiasts have the option of chartering a boat and heading out to sea, where game fish such as Marlin, Barracuda and Tuna are abundant.
