This place was built to commemorate the Independence of Sri Lanka from the British colonial rulers in 1948. The beautiful architecturing and the garden area is nice to visit.

Stop At: Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple, 61 Sri Jinaratana Road, Colombo Sri Lanka

This is a modern Buddhist temple located at the heart of the Colombo city. Gangaramaya & Seemamalakaya temples are located close to each other. Seemamalakaya is built at the mid of the "Baire Lake" by prominent architect Geoffrey Bawa.

Stop At: Colombo Fort, Galle Buck, Colombo Sri Lanka

Old Colombo city area. There are number of colonial architectural works could be seen. Cargills building, President's office, Clock tower are some of the places to visit. Better to have a walk around the area.

It is better to visit the area during early morning or late afternoon.

Galleface is a beautiful sea facing open area located at the heart of the city. You may try some street food if you visit there during the evening time.

Ideal to visit the area during the evening after visiting Gallface Green. The area is newly developed and number of cafeterias are available for a snack or even for the dinner.
