About this activity
First constructed in the 15th century, the “Baths of Juan Mendez,” as they were once known, are an important cultural relic for the city of Cordoba. Constructed of blocks that held pools of cold water, they have been used for recovery and relaxation throughout history.
At 500 square meters, the center is one of the largest bathhouses in Spain and the biggest in Cordoba. Today volume is kept at a low level to maximize tranquility, and bathing suits are provided to visitors who have forgotten their own.
After entering the baths, grab complimentary towels and footwear and gear up your swimsuit. Spend time soaking in the calm waters of the pools, then relax with a luxurious 15-minute massage. Held at one of the oldest institutions in the city, this unique tour provides visitors both a history lesson and the chance for optimal relaxation.
