DAY 1: LIMA ARRIVAL
Transfer to your hotel.
DAY 2: LIMA CITY TOUR! (B,)
During the morning is city tour. Visit: the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral (just ashort walk away from the plaza, located in the Santo Domingo Church on the Plaza de la Vera Cruz) and San Francisco Convent.
DAY 3 – FLIGHT LIMA TO CUSCO AND FREE DAY (B)
Breakfast at hotel; pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and exploring this fascinating city.
DAY 4 – CUSCO GASTRONOMIC TOUR – CITY TOUR & ARCHEOLOGICAL RUINS (B, L)
This culinary adventure includes a guided tour of traditional San Pedro market. Here you will learn about our regions culinary history and the unique ingredients.
After visiting the market we move on to the cooking school where you’ll have a “hands-on” class. You’ll learn to prepare nutritious and healthy dishes using our most representative ingredients under the guidance of the Peruvian Professional Chef. You will participate in the preparation of a delicious appetizer, main course (vegetarian option available) and, of course, the famous Pisco Sour will be included. At the end you will have a delicious lunch prepared by you.
The city tour will start at 13:00 pm. We explore the city by foot to appreciate the Inca walls and architecturally extravagant colonial churches and palaces. This also includes a visit of Koricancha. After this we take a short drive to visit Sacsayhuaman along with Tambomachay
DAY 5 – FULL DAY TO SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES (PISAC, OLLANTAYTAMBO & CHINCHERO) (B, L)
Early in the morning we will leave Cusco at 8:00 AM. We will stop at the city of Pisac (or Pisaq), through which the River of Urubamba flows. Here we will enjoy the weekly market where we can buy textiles, pottery and other little things. We will then take the bus uphill to the ruins complex of Pisac, an Inca citadel perched on a mountainside. Our journey continues to Ollantaytambo, where we will visit the archaeological complex. In the afternoon, we will travel to Agua Calientes by train, where we’ll spend the night
DAY 6 – VISIT MACHU PICCHU & BACK TO CUSCO (B)
After a good night sleep, we will take the bus to the mountain of Machu Picchu. The tour will be guided for 2:30 hours. We will visit the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sundial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. You will have some free time to discover the secrets of that mysterious place on your own.
In the afternoon, we will return to our hotel in Cusco.
DAY 7 – TRANSFER HOTEL – CUSCO AIRPORT (B)
We will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport of Cusco so you can take your flight back home.
