We booked this package last minute because everything was getting booked out quickly!! It was more expensive than what we wanted but better than missing out on the dates we had available to do the visit. I had never used this site Viator before and first thing I google was 'is Viator Legit?' It seemed to be but still had to cross our fingers because its a lot of money to hand over right! The confirmations came through eventually and then closer to the time a Peruvian lady contacted me through whats app, Tania was lovely, detailed and organised, Genuinely helpful. She organised dirt cheap taxis for our party to and from the airports. Everything she organised with Taxis, Trains, Buses and our Tour guide for Machu Picchu was flawless. Believe me the place is heaving with tourists so thats a miracle. We defiantly recommend having a private tour guide, so much better having the freedom and agility. You will understand when you see the slow big groups moving about. Our tour guide was awesome knowledgable beyond what was expected and had a sense of humour. When we got back to Cusco the day before we left Tania insisted on coming to visit us at our Airbnb to 'follow up on the tour' but just wanted to Thank us and give us some really cool we local gifts before we left. A nice touch. Tourism is really important to them and the don't take it for granted. All in all we felt it was value for money and nice to arrive to a busy place with everything sorted without having to get sucked into road side admin and just able to enjoy the place. Cheers Tania!!!
Extraordinary. Machu Picchu is all you expect and more. This company helped us all the way through the process from Central Cuzco, all the way back. They even met with us the day before to provide us all the tickets, documentations and instructions. There are plenty of free time and places to have a good lunch at Aguas Calientes. They kept texting us during the morning to see that everything was OK. Kudos to Tania, our coordinator. She went above and beyond to solve a minor issue we noticed on my son's documents. She was able to solve it quickly and without any additional cost. Our guide gave us very good information and tips to get great pictures. I would recommend this company for this tour anytime.
The trip went very smoothly. The visit to Machu Picchu was amazing and was the experience we were looking for. The guide was very good in English and did a great job. This tour is a very long day when you start in Cusco so I would look for the Viator options from the Sacred Valley which would make a more compact day.
