Itinerary

Day 1: TOUR TO ISIMILA STONE AGE SITE & EARTH PILLARS – CHIEF MKWAWA MEMORIAL MUSEUM KALENGA

Stop At: Isimila Stone Age Site, Iringa Tanzania
Today you are going to wake up early for breakfast at your Lodge and then take a short drive to Ismila Stone Age

site and Earth pillars. Here you will discover the uses of stone tools from around 400,000 years ago. You will see

different excavations and research from different Universities all over the world. A short walk around the Gorge and

pillars, formed as a result of water and wind erosion. You will get a great view of birds and animal tracking along

the way for about 2 hours then you will head to Kalenga Museum where you will learn the ORIGIN and

relationships between the Hehe people and other foreigners since 1980’s, not only from the past also today and

future as we refer to CHIEF MKWAWA that will be followed by a short drive to Iringa Town for lunch at the

restaurant, After a little nap our team will lead you to the Gangilonga rock for sunset Enjoy your dinner and

overnight stay in Neema craft guest house Iringa

Day 2: IGELEKE ROCK PAINTING - IRINGA BOMA - GIFT SHOPPING AT MASAI MARKET OR NEEMA CRAFT SHOP

Stop At: Gangilonga Rock, Iringa Tanzania
Morning breakfast then drive to the Rock paintings in Igeleke hills for an orientation on the GPS’s, African

technology with Hehe beliefs from 40,000 years ago to the present. This will be followed by drive to Iringa Boma

one of the oldest colonial buildings remaining in Iringa you will discover more about Iringa region based on cultural

and the history. Afterwards we take a short walk to Masai market and Neema craft shop for gift shopping in Iringa

homemade and carvings before you drive back for lunch at the restaurant. in the late afternoon you will visit the Gangilonga rock with Iringa town views and spectacular sunset before heading back for dinner and overnight stay in the hotel
