Day 1: Datong-Yungang Grottoes-Hanging Temple-Pingyao

Stop At: Yungang Grottoes, Wuzhou Mountain, Urban Area, Datong 37000 China
Meet you at the start points in the morning , put the luggages in trunk, if you arrive by overnigth train, guide can show you the restaurant for the breakfast, then drive to visit Yungang Grottoes first. Which is 30 mintues driving from downtown. Guide will help you get the entrance ticket, and will show you the grottoes, explain the history, the story of the buddha etc. This is the one of the four most famous grottoes in China. It is the first highlights of this tour. You can take the pictures but without flash.

Stop At: Hengshan Hanging Temple (Xuankong si), Hengshan, Datong China
Have a Datong Flying Noodle Lunch before visit the Hanging Temple, It is the winter wheat flour noodle, with the different sauce, you can choosse the meat one or vegetable one.

After lunch, drive to visit the Hanging Temple which is from 1500 years ago, and you still can climb up to see and walk on the floor of the temple. One the must see sights in Shanxi and China. You are here. Guide will explain why and how they built on the cliff. You should believe anything is possible.

After visit this temple, drive down to Pingyao directly on toll road.You will arrive in Pingyao around 19:00.

Day 2: Pingyao Highlights Walking Tour

Stop At: City Wall of Pingyao, Within Pingyao County, Pingyao County 031100 China
Have a walk on the 700 years old wall, see the roof top of the building, you even can see the local people's life from the wall, it is big fun to walk on the wall and have a jumping pictures.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Pingyao Confucian Temple, In Ancient City of Pingyao, Pingyao County 031100 China
Visit the 840 years old buidling, and learn the Confucian wise, and step over the dragon gate to get good luck. Guide will explain how build this such big wooden buidling without nails.
Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Ping Yao Temple of the City God, Chenghuang Temple Street, Pingyao County 031100 China
Visit the most beautiful taoist temple in the old city, and enjoy the peace of this temple and take the nice pictures of this temple.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Ming and Qing Dynasties Street,South Main Street, Pingyao County 031100 China
Have a picture of you with city tower which is the center of the city, any new buidling show lower than this tower inside the wall. It is good place to have a stroll after dinner or shopping for the small things.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Rishengchang Former Bank, Dapu Village, Pingyao County 031100 China
The museum of the Rishengchan Bank which is first bank in China, guide will explain the history, management of the bank, the story of owner and the first managers etc.

You will have a local lunch.

After tour, we will drop off you at your hotel or Pingyao railway station (suggest to book the train around 16:00)
