Then we’ll hitch a ride in a rickshaw to the old part of town to visit chok baraza, one of the biggest wholesale and retail markets in the city. Next up, we’ll go explore Shankhari Bazar, one of the oldest areas of the old town and the site of many historic Hindu temples — in fact, while Dhaka is primarily a Muslim city, this district has the highest concentration of Hindus in all of Dhaka.

We will then enjoy the afternoon rush at Sadarghat waterfront. This bustling port is constantly buzzing with activity, as boats of all sizes ferry passengers and cargo along the Buriganga River.
