Three Days Tsavo East and Tsavo West from Diani Beach

Itinerary

Day 1: Diani / Mombasa - Tsavo East

Stop At: Tsavo East, Voi Mageso Chember, Tsavo National Park East 00200 Kenya
Day 1: Tsavo East

Pick up from the hotel at around 6.30 am driving along Mombasa- Nairobi highway for 100 kms and a stop over for coffee and short calls. Proceed for 6 kms to Tsavo East (The largest park in Kenya which covers an area of 13,747 km2) and arrive at Bachuma. Begin the game drive en route to Aruba Dam (A water hole where animals come to drink water). Physical attractions include Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau which is 300 km2, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Voi Seasonal River and Aruba Dam. You have also a chance to see animals such as red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetah, and giraffes among others. Proceed with the game drive en route to a Lodge or camp where you will check in at around 1.00 pm. Have lunch and relax till 4.00 pm after which you will start another game drive till 6.30 pm then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at a Lodge or camp.

Day 2: Tsavo East - Tsavo West

Stop At: Tsavo East National Park, Tsavo, Kenya
Day 2: Tsavo West

Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by game en route to Tsavo West, (The second largest park in Kenya after Tsavo East, which covers an area of 9,065 km2 and 13,747 km2 for Tsavo East). Begin a game drive en route to a Lodge or camp checking in at around 1.00 pm time for lunch and relax till 4.00 pm. Another evening game drive where you visit the rhino sanctuary and have a chance to see the black rhinos. Tsavo west is a paradise for animals including elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetah, zebras, buffalos among others. The landscape of Tsavo west is grassland savannah with acacia bushes with Mzima Springs and Shetani Larva being the special attractions. The game drive goes on till 6.30 pm where you drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at a Lodge or camp.
