About this activity
We will pick you up from the airport/ hotel or any location within the city of Doha and we will drive you along 8 km Doha Corniche and we will stop at the old dhow boat port. This place is the best place to take pictures of twinkles Doha skyscrapers at the evening. Afterwards you will visit the cultural village of Katara, there are some cafés and restaurants overlooking the beach later you will visit the pearl island which is a man-made island that includes many residential buildings, luxury restaurants, finally we will visit the Souq Waqif, where many of the shops of clothing and spices and pet shops you will visit falcon shops and horse stable. at the end of this tour you will enjoy Arabic local meal if this option is selected.

Amir is a fabulous tour guide! You took my friend and I for nighttime tour of Doha, Stop whatever we wanted to take pictures and was completely accommodating to whatever we wanted to do. I told him he could not have been nicer to us if I had been his own grandmother he drove us around in a luxurious SUV And picked us up precisely on time. He could not have been more delightful! Fares called us the day before to try to see if there were any alterations in the booked plan that he could change to make it better for us. In the end we texted him when we were through immigration and he came to pick us up right away. About 45 minutes before the scheduled 6:30 pm time slot. When he arrived I told him that it would be great if we could actually see a nice mosque. He not only took us to a beautiful mosque. The grand mosque. But got us there in time for the call to prayer. It was a very moving experience made more so by fares’ explanations. On our tours fares seemed to know everyone. I told him I needed a belt and he took me to a store in the market. When we arrived the shopkeeper had just had two teas delivered for himself and his assistant and he insisted we drink them. I purchased the belt $15 and also a cane $35 and for $2 more the shopkeeper put more holes in my old belt. I had been admiring this banner but decided not to purchase it. The shopkeeper insisted that I have it as a gift. Though the falcon hospital was closed fares got the security guard to open it up and allow us to walk around. The effect was that we saw the warmth of people and felt more like we were in a small town out of the 1950’s than in a big city. Finally I asked many questions. Most about Islam. Fares was obviously a very pious man for whom his faith was very important. He answered all of my questions even the ones that I was slightly hesitant to ask because I feared they might be perceived as rude. Qatar rocks. And so does this tour guide. Highly recommended!!!
