About this activity
A “Dhow” is a traditional wooden vessel that is common in the Middle East and has been used historically for a variety of purposes, primarily for trading. Dhows are made in a variety of sizes and in the UAE have been most used for trade between UAE and Iran aswell as for pearl diving. Arabian Dhow Cruise with dinner on board is considered to be the most romantic trip, especially our new trip along the Dubai Marina – the most fascinating landscape in Dubai. “Alexandra” is a 120 Foot Traditional Arabic ‘Dhow’ that has been refurbished into a quality floating restaurant. Dinner includes international buffet and unlimited soft drinks. As part of the 2 hour cruise we will provide a 15-20 minute live show by our very own in-house “Tanura” Dancer Walid, a traditional dance originated in Turkey, which is centered around a man spinning nonstop, creating various patterns with the flowing and glowing color robes.

This tour was amazing!
This is probably not any better or worse than any other cruise. It was nice cruising around the marina with all the big tall buildings. The show was entertaining too. What was funny was the buffet - there were two tables - one on the right and one on the left, and one of them were 'appetizers' and the others were 'main course', and they make you start with the appetizers so that you cannot just jump to the main course. It just so happens that the line goes in such a way that goes from the lowest-cost food to the most expensive. It starts with watered-down lentil soup, then lettuce, then some bread and rice, and then finally some meat. They make you start at the top of the line to fill your plate! Anyways, it's a nice experience, probably won't go wrong with this.

Dhow cruise was excellent. They started on time and we were given the upper deck as we requested to the manager. The food was good and dance performance along with singer was fabulous. Overall way better than other Dhow cruises.
