Musandam Dibba Day Trip from Dubai Including Dhow Cruise
1 day
Full Day
About this activity
Begin with a pickup from your Dubai hotel and hop inside your air-conditioned minivan. Then, enjoy the views as you drive to Musandam, a mountainous area of Oman on the northeast tip of the Arabian Peninsula.
Drive through the rugged Hajar Mountains, cross the Omani border, and continue to the Dibba region, an idyllic chunk of coast lapped by the waters of the Gulf of Oman.
Arrive in the town of Dibba, and board a double-decker Omani dhow for your cruise. Then, feast your eyes on the views as you sail along the untouched Musandam coast. Ogle the towering mountains, sea grottos and cliffs, and drift past steep-sided Zighy Bay and the secluded, palm-lined beaches of the fishing village of Haffa.
As you sail, polish your tan on the sun deck or relax on a cool, shaded deck, keeping your eyes peeled for dolphins playing in the waters. Stay refreshed with the unlimited sodas, waters, tea and coffee available on board.
Stop for a swim in the crystalline seas or use the supplied snorkeling equipment to discover the underwater world — the clarity of Musandam’s waters makes it a snorkeler’s dream.
Afterward, sit down to a delicious, onboard Arabian-style buffet lunch. Dishes may vary, but expect barbecued chicken, green salads, hummus (chickpea dip), pasta and more.
Following lunch, your skipper will drop anchor again so you can swim and snorkel more. Plunge into the cool waters or, alternatively, just soak up the natural beauty around you to the gentle sound of the lapping waves.
After your 5.5-hour cruise, dock back at Dibba and make your return journey to Dubai, where your trip ends at your hotel.
Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.

This tour was amazing!
Wish our driver could tell us more about Dubai, Oman, etc. It was mostly a quiet car journey to Musandam, with our driver sometimes being on the phone. At Musandam, it was an ordinary cruise on the Dhow, cruising along Strait of Hormuz.
We were picked up on time in fact early from our hotel. The journey to the Oman border took approximately 2 hours from Dubai. Our transport was a dedicated mini-van, so perfectly comfortable. My only critisiscm of this part of the journey is that our driver was seriously addicted to his mobile phone and couldn't leave it alone. Upon arrival, we boarded the large, well equipped Dhow, together with approximately 40 other guests. This isn't a personal private cruise. As for the tour itself, our hosts were very attentive, providing a constant supply of tea, coffee, water and soft drinks. Beer is available, but for and additional supplement. The scenery of the Oman coastline was quite stark, but strangely beautiful and provided a pleasant background to the cruise. During our stops, we made use of the snorkelling equipment around the boat and explored the small bays. Watch the sea urchins, as they are everywhere. We also went on a short powerboat tour of a small cave, which was ok, but nothing spectacular. Other guests took the opportunity to sunbathe on one of the beaches, whilst others were content to stay on the boat. The food provided was certainly welcome and consisted of plenty of Middle Eastern style dishes, flatbreads, chicken, fish and pasta for the less adventurous. Onboard, we could buy traditional fragrances and other small gifts and trinkets. Travelling to and from Oman, together with the tour itself took pretty much a whole day, so make sure that you leave enough time in your itinerary. Overall, this was a pleasant experience and something I would recommend to others to try.
This was supposed to be a Khasab Fjord tour, and instead they changed it to Dibba. The driver was 30 minutes late. Great food and beverages on board. Snorkeling pretty poor - cloudly water and TONS of sea urchins. The scenery was just a bunch of rocks... and not pretty ones - just bare rocks as far as one can see. If this was supposed to be 'like Norway's fjords - that quote was from some who has never been to Norway!
An absolutely stunning place must go if your are in Dubbai, the dhow cruise was very relaxing and if you don't snorkel the crew will take you to the beach on a dinghy. Great food too! Mark and Maria
excellent experience. a long day but well worth it
