About this activity

Our Old Dubai and Souk Tour begins on the Bur Dubai side of the Dubai Creek outside the Al Fahidi District. Guests can easily get here by Metro or by taxi. After walking through Al Fahidi Courtyard Houses, we walk over to the Dubai Museum, pass by the Ruler’s Court and then experience the famous Hindi Lane. After learning about the Old Textile Souk, Meena Bazaar and the Indian community’s influence on Dubai, we get to the Creek Waterfront Abra Taxi Stand. Here we learn about the historic trading activities that go on even till today in the Spice Souk and the Gold Souk. The tour ends at the Gold Souk. The Al Ras Metro is close by and provides connectivity to the rest of the city.

I did the Old Dubai tour last week. I loved the Coffee Museum and got myself a bag of Ethiopian Coffee and really liked the people in the old Bastakiya colony. The walk was the right pace for me, since I tend to lose attention quickly! The Hindu temples were fascinating to see. Our guide clearly loved Dubai and the UAE leadership and had many eye opening insights to share. Lots of great photos on this tour.

This is a great overview tour that gives you a very good overarching sense for the city and the country, the history and the people, the culture the food and the attire. You go through museums and markets and use a boat as transit. Its really fantastic and well priced and well worth the money!

I had a great desire to learn about Dubais authentic culture, see more than just the new parts of town. This walking tour was absolutely perfect. The guide made it feel like we were in town with a few friends and were taking a stroll around. She provided great information about the region, the people and traditions. Truly an amazing tour experience and a must do for anyone going to Dubai.
