About this activity
After pickup from your Dubai hotel, drive just 25 minutes north to Sharjah, the third-largest city in the United Arab Emirates, perched on the Persian Gulf.
Visit Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn Sharjah), a renovated fortification originally constructed in 1820 as the royal residence for Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi. A masterpiece of traditional Arab architecture, the fort has withstood many social, political, commercial and military developments and changes in the region. Today it is open to the public as a museum.
A highlight of your tour is Faisal Mosque, the largest of the 300 mosques in the emirate of Sharjah, sprawling over 39,370 square feet (12,000 sq m).
Continue to the Sharjah Heritage Museum, which gives you unique insight into Arab culture. Each gallery focuses on a different aspect of local life, including religious values, marriage celebrations, burial rituals and desert life.
Take time to wander the adjacent market, Souq Al Arsah, one of the oldest souks in the country. Where traders from Persia, India and surrounding Arab nations would once stock up on supplies, now you'll find local vendors selling artisan goods such as pashminas, dallahs (coffee pots), herbs, spices and jewelry to tourists. It's a great place to pick up some authentic wares.
If nothing here quite catches your eye, you'll have another chance to get souvenirs at Souq Al Markazi, a treasure trove of Middle Eastern carpets, jewelry and handicrafts.
You'll be returned to your Dubai hotel to conclude your tour.

Great tour. Glad we went. Would definitely take this tour again.
Great tour. This city is beautiful. Highly recommend this tour.
The tour operator has arranged for hotel pickup and drop kindly call the tour operator 2 days before the tour to inform your UAE mobile number and hotel details English speaking guide. The whole Sharjah tour was awesome. I really enjoyed the tour eventhough it was just a 4 hour tour short. So I request everyone to combine Dubai city tour and Sharjah city tour into one day and inform the tour operators in advance.
5 hour tour. Picked us up at our hotel in Dubai. A 20 mt. ride to neighboring Sharjah City. Apparantly many people live in Shajah and commute to Dubai daily as it tis cheaper to live here. The best part of our tour was visiting the Islamic museum, King Faizal mosque, Sharjah heritage center and last but not least visit to the 2 markets where you could get all kinds of thiings to buy. This Emirate has a tranquil quality and few beaches. Though we did not see too many people in the beach were told that they'll arrive later in the evening when it is cooler. Sharjah is called the pearl of the gulf for the right . This trip in my opinion was well worth, inexpensive and wouldn't miss it.
Really enjoyable afternoon! The best part of this tour is the Islamic Museum, which is beautiful and well organized. Sharjah is an active city, but much calmer than Dubai. Would recommend just for the trip to the museum.
This tour was very well organized, worth the price! It did as descripted on the web page.
It was great! The guide is very nice. You get to know all the important places of the city, and they let you have all the time you need to take your pictures with no rush.
Felt very rushed
The tour was good. Chamil from Sri Lanka is a very good guide. Unfortunately it was Ramadan so a lot of objective where close.
