We enjoyed the bike tour, were able to see alot of the city, much better than walking. Our tour guide was vert safety concious and made the trip very comfortable. Only drawback is she was a little too opionated for my taste.
It fun and easy to ride bikes around Dublin, and the sites are wonderful. Nevertheless, this receives a less than stellar review because the tour guide is definitely what creates the difference between a great tour, and a mediocre one. This was a mediocre tour. Our guide did little to create comfortable comradery with her group. She did not speak loud enough, and was just a little impatient with those who didn't manage to keep up. Her personal political points of view (most of which I agree with) were subtly incorporated into her dialogue a couple of times. I want to stress that this was a subtlety, and I may have been alone in my sensitivity to this. She asked the group to guess the answer to many questions about Dublin, prior to giving us the correct information. This was thought provoking, but she could work on helping people not feel like they've disappointed their teacher when they get the wrong answer. We are world travelers and take city tours in every new city we visit. The tour guides' ability to personally connect, be clearly understood, and express warmth and welcoming is truly what makes it special. I think she has the potential to become a great guide, if she is open to constructive criticism.
Kate was thoughtful, energetic, knowledgeable and careful in sheparding our little parade of bikers all around Dublin. But best of all she was enlightening and entertaining without any pedantic oratory. Delightful and insightful from start to finish. My highest grade ever. Thanks, DB
Guide was excellent - great way to familiarise yourself with the city
Wonderful way to see the sights of Dublin. Highly recommend
The meeting point was easy to find. Our bike guide was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and had great tips about getting around Dublin on our own. If you like to bike this is a great way to see Dublin.
Thanks for the lovely tour Julian great way to see Dublin! Suggestion for future: a small bottle of water for each guest/ stopover somewhere for a quick drink break. :
