About this activity
With your knowledgeable guide, start your tour in central Dublin and walk through Dublin's broad streets and narrow passageways to admire the city’s famed historical sights. A map is also provided, which you can keep to use after your tour, if you wish. Pass by the former Houses of Parliament and make your way to Trinity College, the oldest university in Ireland.
Stroll past City Hall before wandering past the garden of Dublin Castle. Then, see Chester Beatty Library, the medieval city wall and a beautiful vantage point that overlooks St Patrick’s Cathedral. Hear how the cathedral was a favorite place of worship of the renowned Anglo-Irish author Jonathan Swift in the 18th century, and then stroll along Fishamble Street (the site of the first performance of Messiah by George Frederick Handel) and Christ Church Cathedral (first founded by the Vikings).
Continue along the western section of Temple Bar, Dublin’s popular nightlife and culture district, where your tour ends. Before leaving your guide will give you a discount card that can be used at the following Dublin attractions and eateries:
• Church Café Bar: 20% savings on bar food
• Abbey Theatre: 10% savings on tickets and merchandise
• Bewley’s Café: 10% savings on food

I am sure the tour would have been wonderful, but we arrived 10 minutes late and couldn’t find the group. we hated being late but we had hoped there would be some grace period during the tour introduction.
Our guide was great - imparting a wealth of information. We covered a lot of territory - physically- walking, and historically - through the ages from Vikings forth. Do you know what the official color for Ireland is and the real story of Molly Malone? You'll find out. There is so much to see and do in Dublin. This was a good way to get introduced to the city, see the locations of various sites to return to
This was a low key walking tour too long though good way to see the city on foot it wasn't expensive but you get what you paid for
Weather was rainy so we probably would have enjoyed this tour more in nicer weather.
Poured down rain...only day it did, but it wasn't much fun walking in the rain. The sights were awesome however.
Really looked forward to this tour after travelling all the way from Australia. However the guide did not turn up so unfortunately we did not get to do the tour which was extremely disappointing. Phone Paddy's Walking Tours twice but no reply. Sent 2 emails to Viator but also no reply.
Enjoyed this walk around Dublin. The guide was interesting and it was an easy walk.
Fantastic!! A fun, informative jaunt around sites in Dublin that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Highly recommend it!
