Hop on hop off was great, the directions and info to the place to turn in the voucher was very lacking, the location to the ticket office should have said 1 hr and 20 min walk from the port. When we finally got on the bus we found the guides excellent.
We found the most helpful drivers and staff. Very helpful with lots of tips of must-see places. We also wanted to go somewhere called "Beggars Bush" and we were given helpful instructions of how to get there and the next day we got the same bus driver and he asked us if we found it ok and what our plans were next. I wish I could remember his name to say thanks again!
There seemed to be 3 companies that provide hop-on hop-off service in Dublin. I bought the one Viator offered and we never saw a bus from that company the entire day. I had bought 4 passes for my friends and I and I had to buy 4 more for the big red bus since the company Viator sold me the tickets for seemed not to exist. I bought many side trips from Viator and everywhere else they worked well. So it was around $80.00 wasted.
Buses were taking more than 20 minutes to arrive and often 2 of the "other" buses would stop before one City Seeing bus.I asked the driver how many buses were on the streets and was told 6.
Loved the ease. Stops so many locations
This tour was amazing!
Own your time and places you want to visit
The bus doesn't run after about 4pm. So you must start early to really get in all the sights.
The hop-on hop-off bus in Dublin was excellent. Even though traffic was congested, it seemed to keep moving pretty quickly and we never had to wait long to get back on. We were always able to find a spot on the top of the bus and it went to all the places we wanted to see.
We really enjoy this tour! Would recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know the city.
