The countryside to Glendalough and Powerscourt Gardens was so appealing to the eye, Our driver, Michael, gave lots of facts in an interesting and humorous manner. I just wish we had had more time, particularly at the Gardens.
It was wonderful to get out to the Wicklow mountains and take in a short hike to the lakes. The scenery was beautiful. I wish we had an extra hour at the Glendalough stop to explore more. Powerscourt Gardens were beautiful. I also wish we had an extra hour here to explore more, I only saw about half the gardens. Overall the trip was wonderful, the scenery was beautiful, our guide Mickey was fun and engaging and was very good about making sure everyone knew the times to return to the bus and where to meet. The bus tour was relaxing and fun. Very nice!
I wish I had more time at Powercourt! Breathtaking! Wonderful day!
A visit to ancestral Ireland is something hard to describe in words ... you must live and feel the spirit of Ireland ... something incredible ...And then, after meeting with the wild beauty of Ireland, a meeting with the cultivated beauty ... a mixture of Vaux-le-Vicomte and Versailles, but at a totally different level ... spectacular, indeed
