Stop At: Irish Whiskey Museum, 119 Grafton Street, Dublin D02 E620 Ireland
Starting from the cafe bar at 10am, the guide will take you to the next floor to start the tour. Discover the history of Irish whiskey and the Irish diet from as far back as early Christianity until Modern Day. Each of the five rooms are themed and represent an era in Irish history.
Go way back in time in the 'apothecary' and discover how whiskey, or as the Irish know it 'Uisce Beatha' (or water of life), came about.
Moving on to the 'shebeen' room, learn about some quirky Irish traditions in the late 1800's and what the Irish ate at that time.
The next room, which is a Victorian style bar, represents more opulent times in Irish history. This was called the golden era of Irish whiskey. Moving to the next floor and the Renaissance room, discover the number of political events which led to the downfall of the whiskey industry in Ireland before its current revival. After 35 minutes of history, enjoy a 15-minute masterclass with a master taster and learn about the flavors and aromas of 3 Irish whiskeys from different distilleries.
At the end of the tasting, the guide will take the group back to the Cafe bar to enjoy a hearty brunch of Irish food representing the eras. Allow 25-30 minutes to enjoy brunch.

What a fun and unique tour. Eian was very knowledgable yet presented info in a fun way. Got to taste different whiskeys and had a good breakfast of smoked salmon.
