A great wee trip! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. First stop was at the market where the stall holders are happy for you to taste before buying or walking away and we got a huge tub of fresh figs for less than 2 -in a supermarket we'd be lucky to get half a dozen for the same price. The honey was lovely but consider carefully how you'll get it home. We sized up did I mention it was good?! then had to leave some behind for our hosts as we couldn't fit the large jars into our case as well as the wine we bought later. Onwards to the two wineries - if you're hoping to see the vines you'll be disappointed, but the tours of the wineries were interesting.. but for our guide, you'd drive right by the second winery without realising, but it has award winning wines and there was never any pressure to buy. We tasted 9 wines in all before heading for lunch. Large portions of tasty traditional food, in a quiet location prior to heading back to Dubrovnik. A super experience.
