About this activity
On this tour, you are taken to the top of the hill above the Old Town. From there you will see the so-called postcard view of Dubrovnik; it gives a look into the Old Town through the Old Port, making it the most open view of the city. From there, you may also see Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, and Montenegro. Furthermore, if you look upon the sea, you’ll see the Lokrum island. Be careful – legend has it that it’s cursed! In addition to that, you will be taken a little bit further, to the cable car station.
To bring some variety into the tour, you’ll also be driven to the Ombla river, which some claim to be the shortest river in the world. Despite being only 30 meters long, the Ombla is used as a source of drinking water for the city of Dubrovnik. Refresh yourself by filling up your bottles straight from the source.
In the same fashion, you will be taken to the Franjo Tuđman Bridge – a 518 meter-long bridge constructed in 2002. From the bridge, you’ll have a great view of the new, urban area of Dubrovnik, including the Gruž harbor.
On the Panorama tour, you are transported in an air-conditioned vehicle with a limited number of passengers (up to 8 per vehicle) to ensure you an individualized experience. You will have an English-speaking driver who can tell you about the history of the city, and teach you some anecdotes as well. At each of the four photo-stops, you will have more than ten minutes to take pictures or simply enjoy the view.
If you choose to go at 18:30, you will get a prime sunset tour for the same price. You will visit all of the locations mentioned above, but at the end of the tour, you’ll be taken to a great vantage point on the Srđ hill from which you can see the sunset.
