About this activity
The tour starts early in the morning at 06:30 am with a pick up time for the hotels in Fethiye, Oludeniz, Calis, Hisaronu and Ovacik. On the way to Pamukkale there are some other stops to make the long journey more easy and comfortable.

The closest city to Pamukkale is Denizli, there you will stop to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view. Next in program is an open buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Pamukkale surroundings. From the restaurant it will possible to see the hill with the stunning white terraces.

On arrival to Pamukkale first discover the ruins of Hierapolis (amphitheater, city walls, bathhouses, necropolis, etc.) to learn more about the history and culture of this area. Then you can walk on the white travertines enjoying the full beauty of this natural wonder and swim in its natural pools with the hot spring water. Not far from the travertines there is an ancient pool called Cleopatra's pool, swimming there is optional and for an extra charge.

Because of the glorious white travertine and historical values of Hierapolis Ancient City Pamukkale was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage (1988).

On the way back you will pass Denizli one more time, stop for some shopping (textile / leather shop and onyx fabric) and after drive directly till Fethiye. There will be the last stop before you come back to your hotel.

This tour was nothing like what was advertised. We were told that the tour group would be a maximum of 22 which was a blatant lie. We boarded a mini bus from our hotel which took us to a parked coach. From here other buses dropped more passengers off to board the bus. Once the bus was filled with 50 guests or maiden it departed. And it was clear that there was a mix of English speaking and another tour language as there were two tour guides on the bus. After 1 hour we stopped for breakfast if you could call it that (salad and leftover freezing cold chips) and we were told to help ourselves but we had to purchase drinks. There was no stop in Denizli for a panoramic view instead an Onyx factory stop in a derelict building. We eventually made it to Pammukale and we were five 3 hours to ourselves to explore the calcium springs and the Cleopatra Antique pool. Which was lovely and is worth the visit. Food Wes definitely overpriced here but by this point we were starving as we were collected at 6.30am and when we headed back to the bus it was 3.30pm ready to head for our lunch location. The return journey consisted of a 3 hour journey back to Fethiye after a short 30 min lunch stop. So all in all I was extremely disappointed to have paid and booked for a small tour of Pammukale and have a completely different itinerary to what was expected.
