About this activity
Visit: Galleria dell'Accademia, Via Ricasoli, 58/60, 50122, Florence Italy
The Accademia Gallery is one of the most exciting museums in the world. Smaller than the Uffizi Gallery, it offers a collection of unique treasures that make a visit a must during your stay in Florence.
This tour was developed with the help of specialists in Art History. As a result, you will be able to see one of the museum’s jewels, that are overlooked by many other agencies: the collection of musical instruments in the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini.
This section includes an original Stradivarius from 1690 made by Antonio Stradivari for the Great Prince, and the first modern piano, which was invented in Florence.
You will then move on to the museum’s other treasures by Michelangelo, and unveil their secrets in the greatest detail. Afterwards, you will discover the artistic pinnacle of Michelangelo’s magnificent David, the symbol of the city of Florence. We will delight you with the secrets and entertaining anecdotes that only these professional guides know.
As the fast entrance ticket is included, your quick entry is guaranteed which ordinary visitors don't get. After the guided tour is over you can remain in the museum and continue exploring

Don’t get me wrong, the skip the line part is great! But the tour was only an hour, not enough time to appreciate and learn about the other works in the gallery. But learning about David and the I Fish I’d works was WONDERFUL! Very interesting... But all of the sudden the tour was over mid way through her sentence (I don’t even remember her name)
Our guide Alessandra is very knowledgeable and kind. Meeting point was easy to find. The Accademia Gallery is not big but we found the tour went really well and helpful. We had a great tour. Highly recommended!
Giacomo was a wonderful guide, very knowledgable and friendly, enthusiastic and took a lot of time to answer our lengthy questions! He was also uptodate with a lot of hidden secrets about the monuments... it was a bit pricey but saved us time and we got to hear a lot of great stuff about the background! Grazie Giacomo!
Leonardo our guide did a great job explaining everything with out overdoing the story about the items. He also did a great job of guiding us so we would avoid the crowd.
The exhibition was really fascinating and informative, description of musical instruments and of David showed great insight and knowledge. The only thing is would have to say negatively is the cost was really high.
I booked the wrong date in error and they contacted me and very kindly changed my reservation to the time that worked for us. it is a great trip and nobody should miss David in person. highly recommend.
Great tour, would highly recommend. Our guide, Daniela, was very knowledgeable and helped us appreciate what we were seeing beyond what we would on our own. She was also very kind and fun. Well organized and structured tour. Really enjoyed it and apreciated our guide.
This tour was amazing. We had a great guide, and a very small group.
