The highlight of this trip was the lunch at the vineyard. Absolutely delicious. The problem was that this left us with barely one hour to explore Sienna. Also, our guide Antonio, was a man of few words. He started strong on the way to our sights, but once we were there, he had very little to say. I saw other guides pointing out things that we just walked past. The entire bus ride back to Florence he was either silent or talked with our driver. We were very disappointed. I had book two other trips with this company, and those guides were outstanding.
Very informative. Wonderful snap shot of Tuscany. Definitely small group is best. The winery was terrific too. Good food. Big day, not for the feint hearted. It's go go go.
Great Day with an excellent tour guide. Lunch and wine tasting was the terrific. Tours were very informative and appreciated the free time as well.
Lisa and Franco made everyone feel comfortable. Lisa's knowledge and enthusiasm was delightful to experience. She was attentive to the needs of the participants was most apparent and appreciated. Franco's driving was outstanding. I would recommend them and this tour
Valentina was very informative and professional. But, more than that, kind and fun. The winery meal was excellent, as was the wine!
Meeting instructions where a little vague and ended up a couple of minutes late. Guide (Antonio)was brilliant and had a lot of local knowledge that he relaid very clearly and couldn’t be more helpful all day long. The two site seeing stops where interesting although very busy with other tours. The winery turned out to be a farm - which was quiet and in the middle of nowhere, where the host showed us around the vineyards and also the bee hives!, once inside the farm we tasted two red wines and one white along with a pasta meal and then cheese with their local honey( very nice). Quite a long day (8.30am - 6.30pm), but most enjoyable!
We have a good time. Our guide Viola was very knowledgeable. Take care of us well. Excellent. The walking tour is good. Would recommend to friends.
Great adventure! Excellent, friendly guide and driver. Perfect amount of time in each spot. We met new friends in our group and had an unforgettable day, even in the crazy weather. Our guide was very kind to make sure we were all happy.
We were blessed with absolutely beautiful weather for our excursion to the Chianti Region of Italy. The day started with a visit to Sienna. What a unique experience. One thing about this region of Italy…it’s not lacking in steep hills…not a flat area to be found. That’s not a bad thing because the views of the countryside are amazing. Lunch as a vineyard along with a tour by the owner of the property was a great experience. The vineyards, the olive trees and the bee hives were all memorable experiences. We ate, pasta, meats and cheeses, honey and of course drank a lot of wine. How bad could it be. Definitely worth the money for the excursion.
Looking at what I paid for the tour, I don't really feel you get your money's worth. The guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable, but a lot of the day was free time. The vineyard that we ate lunch at was not nearly as nice as some of the other vineyard which we have eaten at in Tuscany on other tours. The vineyard's prices on olive oil and wine were exorbitant. Highway robbery. The day was nice, the group we had was a lot of fun. But the company could've done a little more to give us an experience to match what we paid. The driver was horrible. Many of us commented on him driving like a maniac. Screen the drivers better, it doesn't do much good if the passengers are all car sick when they reach the destination.
great trip with good people
I absolutely love this tour. I went with a group of 4 - it was comfortable and we enjoyed each other's company. Our guide Francheska was amazing. She was filled with facts on the history of the places we visited and promptly answered our questions. In some areas we were given some time to explorer for ourselves. My favorite part of the tour was visiting the vineyard. The wines we tasted were delicious, and the food was excellent. Everything was freshly made. I really enjoyed this tour, from start to finish.
